Qualifications	(1) African American male or female (not of Hispanic origin)
	(2) 2.90 or above cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale plus student rank
	(3) Graduating 2026 high school senior from Austin area high school
Required Documents	(1) Online student scholarship application (student and parent signatures)
	(2) Upload official transcript (high school counselor signature)
	(3) Upload a one-page written essay in response to one of the three topics. Application and support documents must be downloaded to the AAABSE scholarship link: austinaabse.org
Scholarship Award	The scholarship will be awarded in August 2026. Scholarship recipients must submit an official copy of his/her college course schedule to (Owner) after August 1, 2026 via email. A check will be mailed to the student or the universitys student financial office per request.
Application Due Date	Saturday, April 11, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.
Scholarship Recipients	Scholarship recipients will be notified via telephone by Friday, April 17, 2025. Also, a copy of the award letter will be sent to the recipients high school counselor.
Scholarship Reception	Scholarship recipients and parents are invited to attend AAABSE Student Scholarship Award Reception on: Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. \| Austin Community College Highland Campus - 6101 Highland Campus Dr. Bldg. 4000.
