Qualifications	(1) African-American male or female - not of Hispanic origin
	(2) 2.90 or above cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale plus student rank
	(3) Graduating 2024 high school senior
Required Documents	(1) Scholarship application (parent signature)
	(2) transcript (signed across the seal by a counselor), and
	(3) written essay in response to one of the three topics. (Application and supporting documents should be forwarded via the AAABSE website (austinaabse.org).
Scholarship	The scholarship will be awarded in the fall of 2024. Student must submit a copy of his/her official college schedule to Dr. Cornel Jones after August 15, 2024 via email. A check will be mailed to the student or the university's student financial office per request.
Due Date	Sunday, April 14, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.
Scholarship Recipients	Scholarship recipients will be notified via US mail or telephone by Friday, April 19, 2024. Also, a copy of the award letter will be sent to the recipient's high school counselor.
Scholarship Reception	Scholarship recipients and parents are invited to attend
AAABSE Reception on	Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
