| Qualifications | (1) African-American male or female - not of Hispanic origin |
| (2) 2.90 or above cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale plus student rank | |
| (3) Graduating 2024 high school senior | |
| Required Documents | (1) Scholarship application (parent signature) |
| (2) transcript (signed across the seal by a counselor), and | |
| (3) written essay in response to one of the three topics. (Application and supporting documents should be forwarded via the AAABSE website (austinaabse.org). | |
| Scholarship | The scholarship will be awarded in the fall of 2024. Student must submit a copy of his/her official college schedule to Dr. Cornel Jones after August 15, 2024 via email. A check will be mailed to the student or the university's student financial office per request. |
| Due Date | Sunday, April 14, 2024, by 5:00 p.m. |
| Scholarship Recipients | Scholarship recipients will be notified via US mail or telephone by Friday, April 19, 2024. Also, a copy of the award letter will be sent to the recipient's high school counselor. |

AAABSE 2024 Scholarship Application
All biographical data will be destroyed six months after AAABSE scholarship recipients are announced.
